Amethyst Cluster

from $70.00

A favourite among crystal collectors, amethyst offers whimsical charm with its purple crystalline sheen that occurs in various shades. Each of the three pictured clusters on offer has its own unique identity made up of its shape, size and depth of colour.

Amethyst Cluster 1: this piece is the largest of the three on offer and has a relatively flat base that makes it an ideal canvas for adorning with jewellery. It is equally beautiful entirely untouched, potentially as a statement piece on a coffee table. Out of the three clusters on offer, the depth of colour could be described as medium with more of a lilac shade with subtle warmer tones on certain crystal points.

Amethyst Cluster 2: this piece perhaps feels the most magickal with its cavernous shape and strong depth of colour. For those seeking amethyst purely for ornamental purposes, this is piece looks the most decorative with its vivid colour, unique shape and its height. Whether it be a centrepiece among other crystals or placed on a pedestal all on its own, this amethyst cluster will enchant any space it adorns.

Amethyst Cluster 3: this piece has an interesting almost dish-like shape, curving up higher on one side more than the other. It’s the perfect crystal cluster to add to a dresser or side table for displaying small rings and pendants. It is the most subtle in its colour, with the purple appearing in a softer, cooler lavender shade which makes it blend seamlessly into most colour palettes. It is an ideal, understated addition to any crystal collection while still offering a point of difference and interest with its unique curved shape.

ABOUT AMETHYST: Amethyst is of the purple variety of quartz and is part of the hexagonal crystal system. This semiprecious stone gains its colour from iron and aluminium impurities within the underlying quartz structure. Ranging in shades of purple, amethyst can occur in pale lilac, lavender, deep violet, rich reddish-purple, and pale red-violet (pink amethyst) with a shiny vitreous lustre.

NATURAL ORIGIN: Uruguay.

HANDLING AND CARE: Amethyst ranks at 7 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness. Avoid prolonged exposure to intense light or strong heat. Clean regularly to prevent buildup of dirt and dust. It is safe to clean amethyst with mild soapy, lukewarm tap/lake water using a soft brush. Dry with a soft cloth. Do not steam clean.

PLEASE NOTE: Some crystals may have sharp edges. Please handle with care.

NATURALLY UNIQUE: All Venus in Scorpio crystals are natural formations and may vary in colour, structure, and size from the website product imagery. All crystals are individually selected to suit the earthy-rustic aesthetic of Venus in Scorpio Trading Co. Please allow for impurities and imperfections as our crystal offerings are 100% raw, meaning they are completely natural and untreated (with the exception of those that are hollowed out for candles, selenite that has been cut into tower formations and citrine that gains its colour from heat treatment). Please contact us prior to purchase if you are in search of something specific.
